Dear Mom and Dad,

Your children will be participating in the Accelerated Reader program this year. Students are encouraged to reach their AR reading goals each six weeks, and those who reach these goals are rewarded with trophies and medals at the end of the year as well as celebrations every reporting period. We want to give your child every opportunity to receive as many awards as they can earn. Students can also reach their million word goal for a special celebration at the end of the year.
Sus hijos participarán en el programa Accelerated Reader este año. Se alienta a los estudiantes a alcanzar sus metas de lectura AR cada seis semanas, y aquellos que alcanzan estas metas son recompensados con trofeos y medallas al final del año, así como con celebraciones en cada período de informes. Queremos darle a su hijo todas las oportunidades para recibir tantos premios como pueda ganar. Los estudiantes también pueden alcanzar su meta de un millón de palabras para una celebración especial al final del año.

*If K-2 students earn 50 points, they will get a medal. If they earn 100 points, they will receive the trophy and not the medal.
