KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM RULES
1. Listen carefully.
2. Follow directions.
3. Work quietly. Do not disturb others who are working.
4. Respect others. Be kind with your words and actions.
5. Respect school and personal property.
6. Work and play safely.
** Students will receive rewards for following these rules. **
Every morning a clothes pin with each child’s name will be placed on the green section of a yard stick for good behavior.
CONSEQUENCES if a student chooses not to follow the rules:
1st time Student will receive a verbal warning. Student’s name remains on GREEN
2nd time Student’s name will be moved to YELLOW and he/she will receive a mark on Conduct Folder.
3rd time Student’s name will be moved to ORANGE and two marks on Conduct Folder. Student will visit the Center for Better Choices and lose recess. Parents will be called.
4th time Student’s name will be moved to RED and three marks on Conduct Folder. Student will be referred to the office and lose recess. Have a Parent/Teacher conference.
SEVERE DISRUPTION: In the event a student chooses to use extreme behavior, the student will IMEDIATELY be referred to administration regardless of how many prior rules have been broken.
HOMEWORK: If a child fails to complete his/her homework, he/she will stay in from recess to complete it.
CONDUCT FOLDER GRADES:
0-5 marks - (E) Excellent 11-16 marks - (NI) Needs Improvement
6-10 marks - (S) Satisfactory 16+ marks - (U) Unsatisfactory
