What Are Senses?

 

  1. senses— The way you observe and learn (sight, hear, smell, taste and touch)

     

  2. compare— estimate, measure, or note the similarity or dissimilarity between

     

  3. sight— You see to observe color, shape, and size

     

  4. smell— perceive or detect the odor or scent of (something).

     

  5. taste— the sensation of flavor perceived in the mouth and throat on contact with a substance

     

  6. hearing— You listen to learn how things sound

     

  7. touch— You come in contact with something to learn about texture (to feel)

     

  8. measure— Process of using units that are the same size to determine size, weight, area or volume of something

     

  9. observe— Togather information by noting facts and occurrences

     

  10. infer— To use what we read and know to learn more than what we have been told

     

  11. hand lens—a hand-held magnifying glass
